We are recruiting an AIT Engineer – Power Systems in Valencia on behalf of an international space technology company expanding its Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) activities in Europe.
Our client specializes in the development and operation of Earth observation satellite systems, delivering mission-critical data and insights to public and commercial stakeholders worldwide. Their technologies support applications such as security and surveillance, maritime domain awareness, environmental monitoring, disaster response, and industrial risk management. Operating in a dual-use context, the company combines advanced engineering with operational reliability and is recognized for deploying complex space systems at scale.
The role is based on-site in Valencia, Spain, and focuses on the assembly, integration, and testing of satellite power systems. This is a hands-on technical position, ideal for an engineer with strong expertise in electrical and power systems who wants to work at the intersection of design, production, and system-level validation within a fast-scaling manufacturing environment.
Requirements:
Education & Technical Background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related discipline
- Strong foundation in electrical engineering, with deep knowledge of power systems and electronics
- Proven experience working on complex hardware systems (space, aerospace, or high-reliability industries preferred)
- Solid system-level understanding across full product architectures and subsystem interfaces
Integration, Test & Troubleshooting
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in development, integration, testing, or production of complex power systems
- Experience with assembly, inspection, verification, and testing of hardware components
- Strong troubleshooting skills, including root cause analysis across electrical systems
- Ability to identify issues during integration and production phases and implement corrective actions
- Experience supporting production ramp-up and improving reliability and repeatability
Processes, Tools & Documentation
- Familiarity with integration, verification, and configuration management processes
- Experience contributing to design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-testability (DFT)
- Ability to write and maintain clear technical documentation (procedures, reports, improvements)
- Experience working in structured, cross-functional engineering environments
Production & Operational Environment
- Willingness to work hands-on on the production floor (assembly, testing, troubleshooting)
- Experience improving production workflows and supporting industrialization
- Ability to act as a key technical point of contact during manufacturing activities
- Strong focus on operational efficiency and continuous improvement
Collaboration & Leadership
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams (engineering, production, operations)
- Ability to mentor engineers or technicians and share best practices
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working in an international, fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
