We are recruiting an AIT Engineer in Valencia on behalf of a fast-growing international space technology company developing next-generation Earth observation satellite systems.
The company operates in the space and defense sector, delivering advanced satellite-based intelligence and monitoring capabilities to institutional and commercial customers worldwide. Their technologies support applications related to security, surveillance, environmental monitoring, maritime awareness, and critical infrastructure protection. With an international footprint and a rapidly expanding manufacturing organization, the company is currently scaling its satellite production and integration activities in Europe.
This position is based on-site in Valencia, Spain, and offers the opportunity to work directly on the assembly, integration, and testing of advanced satellite platforms within a high-performance engineering environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute hands-on satellite assembly, integration, and testing (AIT) activities
- Support subsystem integration activities and ensure manufacturability, testability, and configuration consistency
- Participate in production readiness and design reviews to support smooth transition from design to manufacturing
- Perform and support system-level verification and validation activities, including functional and environmental testing
- Troubleshoot integration and test anomalies, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
- Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure schedule and quality objectives are achieved
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of integration procedures, test plans, and technical documentation
- Support industrialization efforts and production ramp-up initiatives
- Mentor technicians and junior engineers while promoting engineering best practices and quality standards
- Coordinate with international engineering and AIT teams to ensure alignment on processes, standards, and lessons learned
Requirements
Technical Background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong engineering foundation with expertise in at least one domain: mechanical systems, electronics, RF systems, or software
- Solid understanding of complex system architectures and subsystem interactions
- Experience working within high-reliability engineering industries such as space, aerospace, defense, or similar sectors
Integration & Testing Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in development, integration, testing, or production of complex hardware or satellite systems
- Experience with system integration, verification, validation, and production support activities
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities and experience identifying and resolving integration issues
- Familiarity with configuration management, production ramp-up, and hardware verification processes
- Experience supporting design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-testability (DFT) initiatives
