Product Engineer

We are recruiting for an innovative French company that designs the lightest aircraft seats in the world, enabling airlines to significantly reduce fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions. This is a fast-growing industrial deep-tech scale-up, with certified products already deployed with international airlines, offering an environment that combines technological excellence, real-world impact, and strong career growth opportunities.

Your mission

You will be responsible for the end-to-end development of an aircraft seat range on a given platform. You will be involved throughout the entire product lifecycle, from early design phases (architecture definition, mechanical studies, and subsystem development), through certification with aviation authorities, and into product evolution.

Your objective is to ensure technical consistency, regulatory compliance, and overall product performance throughout the seat’s lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

1. Lead product development and ETSO certification

  • Lead the development of a seat range from concept definition through final ETSO certification
  • Coordinate mechanical design, simulation, and testing activities, ensuring compliance with aeronautical standards and customer-specific requirements
  • Act as technical lead, working closely with internal teams (Design, Simulation, Certification, Project Management) and external partners (suppliers, laboratories, authorities)
  • Define technical specifications for seat subassemblies in collaboration with Modules and Advanced Concepts teams
  • Prepare and actively participate in design reviews to validate technical choices and development progress
  • Contribute to test campaign planning and manage certification technical documentation (plans, validations, Master BOM, test reports)

2. Ensure product performance and quality

  • Own performance targets related to weight, cost, comfort, aesthetics, and mechanical performance
  • Validate the integration of subassemblies into the seat structure and their interfaces with other modules
  • Propose innovative technical solutions to meet customer requirements
  • Ensure full traceability and compliance throughout the development process

3. Support industrialization and product evolution

  • Work closely with Manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability, repeatability, and quality, from early prototypes to serial production
  • Prepare and validate serial seat configurations for factory release (FAI, serial production)
  • Act as product owner for the seat range during serial life, managing evolutions and in-service improvements
  • Contribute to development of new variants and upgrades (Business Class, recline systems, etc.)

Profile

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautics, or Product Design
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience developing complex products in an industrial environment (preferably aerospace)
  • Strong knowledge of aeronautical standards and ETSO certification processes
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks or equivalent)
  • Experience with Business Class seat development is a strong plus
  • Professional level of English required
  • Autonomous, detail-oriented, pragmatic, with strong teamwork skills

Why join

  • Contribute directly to a more sustainable aviation industry
  • Join a passionate, agile team where ideas matter
  • Grow within a highly innovative, fast-scaling company

For more than ten years, I’ve been driven by one idea — the future of Space and Defense depends on the people behind it. My career began in technical recruitment, where I had the privilege to hire engineers designing cutting-edge systems for aerospace and advanced manufacturing.

Co-founding Demexios was a natural next step: a way to transform my industry knowledge and relationships into a dedicated structure that helps clients recruit faster, smarter, and with strategic alignment.
Over time, I built long-term partnerships with companies leading technological sovereignty — from NewSpace startups developing electric propulsion to defense integrators modernizing tactical and surveillance systems. These collaborations allowed me to form a powerful network of decision-makers, project leaders, and experts who now trust Demexios to deliver when precision truly matters.
Today, my role is not just to connect candidates and companies — it’s to ensure that every hire strengthens our clients projects.

I’ve built my career in sales and recruitment across several industries space, tech, healthcare, and defense. I’ve always been drawn to innovation and the talented people who turn ideas into reality. Over the years, I’ve learned how much a motivated and skilled team can define a company’s success and how the right people will shape the future of the New Space and defense industries.

My international background has allowed me to work with both startups and global organizations, helping them identify individuals who truly fit their culture and business goals. This combination of experience in technology and talent acquisition naturally led to the creation of Demexios.

At Demexios, our mission is simple: to connect experts with the companies that need their skills particularly in the defense and space sectors. I firmly believe that no ambitious project can succeed without a skilled and cohesive team driving it forward.

My commitment is to be a trusted partner for our clients, supporting them step by step in building strong, high-performing teams that deliver tangible results whether their ambitions lie on Earth or beyond.
