We are recruiting a Supply Planning Specialist on behalf of a fast-growing international space technology company developing next-generation Earth observation satellite systems.
The company operates in the space and defence sector, delivering advanced satellite-based intelligence and monitoring capabilities to institutional and commercial customers worldwide. Its technologies support applications related to security, surveillance, environmental monitoring, maritime awareness, disaster response, and critical infrastructure protection.
With an international footprint and rapidly expanding manufacturing operations, the company is scaling the production of advanced satellite platforms across multiple global sites. To support this growth, it is strengthening its supply chain organization and looking for an experienced supply planning professional to help ensure reliable material availability and efficient production.
About the Role
As a Supply Planning Specialist, you will ensure the smooth flow of materials and components required for satellite production.
You will develop short- and long-term supply plans, balance supply and demand, optimize inventory levels, and ensure materials are available according to production requirements.
Working closely with procurement, production planning, logistics, and manufacturing teams, you will identify supply constraints, manage planning exceptions, and proactively address risks that could impact production.
You will also help improve MRP and ERP processes, planning parameters, data accuracy, and supply planning efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain short- and long-term supply plans based on demand forecasts, production plans, material availability, and lead times.
- Balance supply and demand to ensure material availability for manufacturing.
- Define and maintain planning parameters and ensure MRP data accuracy.
- Monitor inventory of raw materials, components, and subassemblies to minimize shortages and excess stock.
- Review MRP results and create purchase requests based on requirements, inventory, and supplier lead times.
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials.
- Work with demand and production planners to resolve supply constraints.
- Manage supply exceptions and proactively communicate risks to stakeholders.
- Support the implementation and optimization of MRP functionality within the ERP system.
- Collaborate with IT and internal teams to improve planning tools, data quality, and process automation.
Requirements
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in supply planning, production planning, materials management, or a similar role.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally electronics, high-tech, aerospace, defence, or automotive.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems, such as NetSuite, SAP, or similar.
- Excellent Excel and data analysis skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with BI and data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with MES and PLM systems.
- Basic Python or scripting knowledge for automation, analysis, or reporting.
- Experience with electronics, aerospace, satellite systems, or complex high-tech products.
- Experience improving ERP/MRP processes or supply chain reporting.
