We are hiring for a company which is a pioneering space technology company specializing in advanced propulsion systems for small satellites. We are global experts in satellite propulsion, pushing the boundaries of streamlined in-orbit mobility for the rapidly expanding satellite constellation industry. Our clients across the US, Europe, and Asia trust us to design and deliver high-performance, precision-engineered propulsion systems that push technological boundaries while meeting demanding timelines and budgets. We made history in 2019 and 2020 with the world’s first in-orbit demonstrations of iodine-fueled electric propulsion systems. Today, we are experiencing rapid growth, with over 300 systems ordered to date.

Your Mission

As a System Engineer you will actively design, build and test new concepts of plasma propulsion systems, closely collaborating with several physicists and engineers in the Innovation team. You will be involved in making proof-of-concept systems of the new company products, validating them and preparing the documentation, as well as creating the company IP elements. You will work on the projects covering variety of engineering and scientific disciplines, ranging from chemistry and elementary physics, to electronics and thermal design.

You are expected to have a good understanding of electronics, covering basic breadboard design and prototyping/debugging. We therefore expect you to have an experience in either industrial system design or DIY projects with electronic components. Basic embedded programming skills (Arduino or generic uC) would be a big plus. You will directly work on the prototypes you create, and we expect that you have excellent manual skills and pride in what you do.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptual design of the propulsion systems and their elements
  • Basic simulation using existing tools: electronic circuits, thermal
  • Breadboard design of electronics (power & signal) for the propulsion systems
  • Assembly and experimental testing of the propulsion systems using vacuum setups, performance characterization and enhancement
  • Multidisciplinary testing of various system elements
  • Coordination of projects within the Innovation team
  • Document writing and reporting

Required skills and qualifications

  • PhD or Master in applied physics, aerospace system engineering or general engineering
  • Solid understanding of electronics, ability to create test boards and simple control systems
  • RF and power electronics experience is a plus
  • Ability to learn fast and adjust to constantly changing environment within the Innovation team
  • Good skills in precise handwork and assembling
  • Knowledge of aerospace systems

For more than ten years, I’ve been driven by one idea — the future of Space and Defense depends on the people behind it. My career began in technical recruitment, where I had the privilege to hire engineers designing cutting-edge systems for aerospace and advanced manufacturing.

Co-founding Demexios was a natural next step: a way to transform my industry knowledge and relationships into a dedicated structure that helps clients recruit faster, smarter, and with strategic alignment.
Over time, I built long-term partnerships with companies leading technological sovereignty — from NewSpace startups developing electric propulsion to defense integrators modernizing tactical and surveillance systems. These collaborations allowed me to form a powerful network of decision-makers, project leaders, and experts who now trust Demexios to deliver when precision truly matters.
Today, my role is not just to connect candidates and companies — it’s to ensure that every hire strengthens our clients projects.

I’ve built my career in sales and recruitment across several industries space, tech, healthcare, and defense. I’ve always been drawn to innovation and the talented people who turn ideas into reality. Over the years, I’ve learned how much a motivated and skilled team can define a company’s success and how the right people will shape the future of the New Space and defense industries.

My international background has allowed me to work with both startups and global organizations, helping them identify individuals who truly fit their culture and business goals. This combination of experience in technology and talent acquisition naturally led to the creation of Demexios.

At Demexios, our mission is simple: to connect experts with the companies that need their skills particularly in the defense and space sectors. I firmly believe that no ambitious project can succeed without a skilled and cohesive team driving it forward.

My commitment is to be a trusted partner for our clients, supporting them step by step in building strong, high-performing teams that deliver tangible results whether their ambitions lie on Earth or beyond.
