(Lead) Systems Engineer – Data Analysis Systems (m/f/d)
Location: Bremen, Germany
Contract: Permanent
Responsibilities
- Lead, plan and execute system engineering activities for information acquisition and near real-time situational awareness systems
- Define operational concepts, system architectures, and technical specifications for satellite and airborne reconnaissance systems
- Provide technical leadership to project teams and subcontractors
- Develop and support airborne sensor demonstrators and measurement campaigns
- Contribute to proposals, studies, and project execution
- Analyze and process sensor data using classical and AI-based methods
- Integrate and test software components in simulation and real-time environments
Profile / Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
- Strong experience in satellite and/or airborne reconnaissance systems and sensor technologies
- Solid expertise in image processing and machine learning
- Experience in technical leadership or coordination of engineering teams
- Fluent German and good English required
- Strong communication skills, structured mindset, and proactive approach
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex systems
- Willingness to travel within Europe
Nice to have:
- Programming experience in Python and/or C++
- Interest in modern technologies such as Rust or ROS2 frameworks
