We are recruiting a Lead Team AIT Engineer in Athens on behalf of an international space technology company expanding its Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) activities in Europe.

Our client specializes in the development and operation of Earth observation satellite systems, delivering mission-critical data and insights to public and commercial stakeholders worldwide. Their technologies support applications such as security and surveillance, maritime domain awareness, environmental monitoring, disaster response, and industrial risk management. Operating in a dual-use context, the company combines advanced engineering with operational reliability and is recognized for deploying complex space systems at scale.

The role is based on-site in Athens, Greece, and involves establishing and leading AIT activities at a growing integration site. This is a hands-on technical leadership position, ideal for an engineer with strong expertise in RF systems, electronics, and system-level testing who wants to combine day-to-day engineering work with team leadership and technical ownership.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong foundation in RF systems, antennas, electronic boards, and RF test methodologies.
  • Practical experience with integration and testing of satellites or other complex electronic systems, ideally involving multiple subsystems.
  • Solid understanding of system engineering principles, including power systems, avionics, communications, and hardware–software interfaces.

Integration, Test & Troubleshooting

  • Hands-on experience using test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and RF measurement tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve issues across electrical, RF, and software domains during integration and system-level testing.
  • Experience in satellite AIT, space hardware development, or aerospace qualification campaigns.
  • Knowledge of environmental testing methods, including vibration, thermal vacuum, EMC, and anechoic RF testing.

Processes, Tools & Documentation

  • Strong documentation skills, including writing test procedures, integration instructions, and test reports.
  • Familiarity with configuration management practices (e.g. ECOs, deviations, waivers, version control).
  • Experience developing or maintaining EGSE/MGSE, automated test scripts, or custom hardware test setups.
  • Exposure to ERP, MES, or test data management systems is an advantage.
  • Production & Operational Environment
  • Willingness and ability to perform hands-on work on the production floor, including assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working in production ramp-up, Lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement environments is a plus.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Demonstrated potential to mentor engineers, coordinate technical tasks, or lead defined work packages.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams (Engineering, Systems, Production, Test).
  • Fluent in English and comfortable working in an international, fast-paced environment.

Key Competences:

  • Intellectual Firepower: Rapidly comprehends, structures and synthesizes complex information, draws accurate conclusions, and communicates them with clarity.

For more than ten years, I’ve been driven by one idea — the future of Space and Defense depends on the people behind it. My career began in technical recruitment, where I had the privilege to hire engineers designing cutting-edge systems for aerospace and advanced manufacturing.

Co-founding Demexios was a natural next step: a way to transform my industry knowledge and relationships into a dedicated structure that helps clients recruit faster, smarter, and with strategic alignment.
Over time, I built long-term partnerships with companies leading technological sovereignty — from NewSpace startups developing electric propulsion to defense integrators modernizing tactical and surveillance systems. These collaborations allowed me to form a powerful network of decision-makers, project leaders, and experts who now trust Demexios to deliver when precision truly matters.
Today, my role is not just to connect candidates and companies — it’s to ensure that every hire strengthens our clients projects.

I’ve built my career in sales and recruitment across several industries space, tech, healthcare, and defense. I’ve always been drawn to innovation and the talented people who turn ideas into reality. Over the years, I’ve learned how much a motivated and skilled team can define a company’s success and how the right people will shape the future of the New Space and defense industries.

My international background has allowed me to work with both startups and global organizations, helping them identify individuals who truly fit their culture and business goals. This combination of experience in technology and talent acquisition naturally led to the creation of Demexios.

At Demexios, our mission is simple: to connect experts with the companies that need their skills particularly in the defense and space sectors. I firmly believe that no ambitious project can succeed without a skilled and cohesive team driving it forward.

My commitment is to be a trusted partner for our clients, supporting them step by step in building strong, high-performing teams that deliver tangible results whether their ambitions lie on Earth or beyond.
